American Idol Season 7 Champion — David Cook, Congrats!

Who’s dating who? David Cook has caught Kimberly Caldwell and it seems they are in the early stages of dating.

In an excerpt: The newly crowned “Idol” winner said Tuesday on “Live With Regis and Kelly” that he recently had a dinner date with former “Idol” contestant Kimberly Caldwell.

Cook, 25, said he met Caldwell through the show. When asked if he had a good time, Cook replied: “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”

David Cook has just one American Idol Season 7 and releasing an album is a few months away but he has already dominated charts with his American Idol performances.

David now ranks number 1 in iTunes, has six singles in the Top 50 Billboard Magazine’s hot 100 list.

Aside from that, his version of Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby is frequently played over the radio.

An article at LATimes clearly suggests that David Archuleta is going to win the war against David Cook in the long run because he is romantic compared to rocket David Cook. The votes in American Idol decided upon that and David Cook is just going to pile up millions of fans worldwide. Think of a cross between Bon Jovi and Bono.

Film.com is convinced that American Idol winner David Cook was a shocker and that David Archuleta was destined to win in the first two weeks. They also argue that David had a better performance than David Cook.

The celebration in Kansas City after David Cook was declared the winner in season 7 of American Idol was described to be better than New Year’s Eve celebration. As reported at Nebraska.tv:

Hearne from Kansas City has published the thoughts of promoter Jim Kilroy who once booked David Cook’s band Axium. He has this to say: I booked him five or six times. His band, Axium, played in Club Wars at least three times, then I booked them for a couple gigs like my Rock & Metal Fest. The thing is, they never really pulled a huge crowd, but everybody who was in the little scene liked them.
